I have been working in the academic sector for the last 4 years alongside a clinical role.
I was a Staff Governor at Medway Hospital from 2012-2013 and I highly enjoyed it.
I believe it is key for all stakeholders to be able to be represented at board level and have the opportunity to advocate fair policies and procedures, promoting and fostering a positive work culture and facilitating effective communication between staff and management.
I will work to improve communication in between the administration teams, staff, faculty and schools, ensuring that concerns are heard and addressed effectively. Best practice is shared and promoted to build on sustainability not only as environmental impact but by also ensuring our practices and business are future proof.
I will advocate for effective response for community and work-based changes and developments so we can prepare our students for employment in an authentic and inclusive manner.
